What’s a person to do?!

If you have a FitBit or other similar device, it may have a movement reminder that can help keep you moving regularly.

My FitBit reminds me between 7am and 5pm to take at least 250 steps each hour.

It’s a small amount of movement, and I usually get more activity in than that, even while at home, but it’s a nice reminder for the times when I’m heads down in my work.

Don’t have a FitBit or a similar device?

Thankfully in this day and age most of us carry something in our pockets that can give us a hand.

Bonus Technique

If you’re looking to kill 2 birds with one stone and set yourself up for both productivity and moving regularly, check out the Pomodoro technique.

There are a number of timers that are built specifically for Pomodoro, but any timer where you can set the work/rest interval can work.
