Meet Yourself…

September always feels like a New Year. School starts again, weather gets cooler, and summer fun quickly becomes a distant memory.  Life seems to speed up after being in a state of hot lazy summer vacation.  Gyms even seem to get busier.

It almost seems like the right time to make or re-examine goals (shhh…we don’t call them resolutions…because these are just doomed for failure!).  All too often we bite off more than we can chew, or make commitments that aren’t going to truly benefit us physically or emotionally.

Imagine you told someone your goal was to do less? I bet they would think you meant you were committing to being lazy.

Or if you told someone you were going to really try hard to be “your” best-friend. That’s probably just asking for a quick admittance to One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

How about if you told a co-worker you were making enemies with food? Bet you wouldn’t be sitting at their lunch table tomorrow.

But…these are all healthy goals. Achieving these may restore some balance in a life so full of chaos there’s hardly time to breathe some days.

Do Less…

And once you’ve mastered that…Befriend yourself and Conquer that Pesky mind of yours.

Sometimes we just need to stop and re-evaluate…and that is resolution enough.

5 Rounds, 1 minute at each station of:

  • Hand Stand Push Ups
  • Bench Press (135#)
  • Push Press (95#)
  • Ring Dip
