CrossFit Coach

We're looking for an enthusiastic fitness professional to help us grow our CrossFit Training program.

This is a career position, so, we are seeking a dedicated person who is committed to improving the lives of others.

The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

 

MISSION

Assist in the development and operation of private and group training. Demonstrate vision, leadership, and the ability to create, plan, and promote wellness programming. Set CrossFit Toronto and its offerings apart from the competition through creativity, passion, and knowledge.

Help ensure members attain and maintain their fitness goals, and have the opportunity to do so in a welcoming, help-oriented, hospitable, and safe environment. Create incentives for members to enjoy working out and to work out more often; to make fitness and exercise fun & social.

Coordinate with managers and staff involved in providing wellness services to ensure professionalism and credibility, as well as proper scheduling, promotion, pricing, and execution (and ultimately member satisfaction and retention).

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Deliver group and personal training, and ensure that CrossFit Toronto standards for quality are met.
  • Conduct introduction consultations and assessments with member prospects and complete sales.
  • Write workout plans for clients to be executed both with and without supervision.
  • Maintain a professional group environment for the athletes while coaching.
  • Work the fitness floor and set an example for fitness instructors in hospitality, energy, alertness, and overall floor coverage.
  • Work with the coaching team to continue to expand the team's knowledge and ability to perform.
  • Upkeep of gym and equipment.
  • Participate in team functions in and out of the gym.
  • Continue education by pursuing additional courses and certifications.
  • Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Qualified candidates, with or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to:

  • Write, speak, read, hear and see
  • Stand for prolonged periods
  • Sit at desk for prolonged periods
  • Set-up, take-down, and rearrange equipment
  • Demonstrate proper usage of fitness equipment and performance of exercises
  • Spot for weight lifters
  • Type and operate a computer

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CrossFit Level 1 Certification
  • Minimum 3 years and 2,000 hours of coaching experience, preferably in both private and group settings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CrossFit Level 2 or higher
  • Weightlifting certification
  • Gymnastics certification
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Proven ability to teach and motivate others
  • Basic understanding of nutrition and weight loss

COMPENSATION

  • Starting rate $20/hr, depending on experience, with potential for earning a salary exceeding $60k annually.
  • Vacation pay

Front Desk Administrator +

Front Desk Administrator

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual for the role of Front Desk Administrator.

This detail­ oriented individual will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members. Basic understanding of accounting principles, cash processing procedures, and computer skills required.

This is a part time role (20-24 hours per week) with the possibility for full time. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Process membership sales and enrolment
  • Respond to incoming queries (via phone, email or in person) regarding CrossFit Toronto's memberships, products and facility.
  • Schedule consultations and personal training sessions in our system and the appropriate follow-up work.
  • Ensure the standard forms and information packages are stocked.
  • Properly record members' concerns in the system and escalate them accordingly.
  • Monitor supplies (washroom necessities, first ­aid kit, complimentary items) and notify manager when items are running low.
  • Complete daily data entry, scanning and filing (digital and physical).
  • Light cleaning: towel laundry, washroom and lobby tidiness.
  • Provide brief tours to potential clients to our facility.
  • Diligently follow the appropriate checklist when completing any of the above mentioned tasks.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Minimum $12/hr depending on experience
  • Vacation pay

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be flexible with hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, positive demeanour
  • Understanding of basic cash and accounting procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and remember clients faces & names
  • Able to work with minimal supervision

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • First ­aid certified
  • Familiar with CrossFit training
  • Some customer service experience
