Weightlifting Seminar with Hani Kanama

We are privileged to have Hani Kanama from Toronto Weightlifting providing us with a whole day worth of instruction in the Olympic lifts (snatch, clean & jerk) as well as valuable assistance movements.

Hani is the founder & head coach of Toronto Weightlifting.  He has been involved in Olympic weightlifting for over 20 years.  He assisted the Canadian weightlifting team as an athletic therapist at the World Championships in 2003 and was assistant coach to the Syrian team.  Hani has also personally competed in numerous weightlifting competitions.
This seminar is open to everyone, regardless of previous experience or capability.

Clean can be power or full.  Jerk can be any style or push press.

  • Max power jerk (85% bodyweight)
  • rest 90 seconds

Rest 5 minutes

Complete 3 rounds of:

  • 15 Glute-ham raises
  • 15 Reverse hyperextensions
  • rest 90 seconds
