
Our barbell classes are for athletes wanting to focus on strength training and Olympic-style weightlifting, either exclusively or in addition to another training regime. Workouts in these classes train the major barbell movements, both slow lifts (such as squats, presses, and deadlifts) and quick lifts (Olympic-style lifting, such as snatches, cleans, and jerks).
All classes begin with an optional skills development component that all lifters are welcome and encouraged to participate in. The skills development portion of the class is intended to help lifters improve and refine their technique. Beginning lifters will be assisted in selecting their lifts and appropriate loading for each class. Experienced lifters are provided the option to execute more individualized training programs with as much or as little input as desired.
