		<description>If you want to be a caveman that&#039;s fine. Sounds a bit de-evolutionary to me. I generally trust that my body can handle what I put into it, and if it doesn&#039;t kill me it will make me stronger. Bodies have adapted to a non-paleo diet since the paelozoic era ended. Without the dietary challege there would be no incentive for them to.

But even mainstream doctors admit there is maybe something to 
paelo theory (second page):

Still, since most people aren&#039;t going to go to the extreme of exluding all lectins, minimize exposure by cooking starches and presoaking any legumes.  And Mother was right when she said to chew your food before swallowing! This will mix in saliva containing enzymes that deactivate many lectins, including gluten.
Is this 100% protection? Perhaps not. But if you play it safe 100% of the time, are living fully either?</description>
