Our Fun is Un-fun!

A whole lot of Snatch and heavy tire heaving, followed by healthy servings of buffalo and watermelon!  We sure know how to throw a send off party!

Thanks to everyone who took on yesterdays “Bon Voyage” workout for Alex.  It was a ton of fun in that “non-fun” kind of way.  If you missed the 6:30pm twist…it had Alex flipping a monster tire…and us snatching for 25:01 minutes.

We all may need some recovery today!  Enjoy the sunshine!

Check out Toronto Farmer’s Market!  They are sure to have watermelon!

September Highlights at the Market:

Field-grown Vegetables:potatoes, green, yellow and purple beans, shelling peas, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, beets, green, sweet and cooking onions, garlic, scallions, shallots,  shiitake and oyster mushrooms, kale, chard and collards, cabbage, kohlrabi, zucchini, carrots, leeks, peppers (red, green, yellow, hot, banana…), tomatoes, cucumbers, mizuna, mibuna and other Asian greens, lettuce, salad mix
strong>Fruits and berries: grapes, fall raspberries and strawberries, blueberries, late peaches, plums, pears, apples (more varieties week by week), melons, hardy kiwi

Herbs: chives, mint, basil, dill, cilantro, parsley and more!

Greenhouse/grown under cover: mushrooms, cucumbers, sprouts, tomatoes, peppers

Wild Foods: blueberries, mushrooms

Workout

5 Rounds, 1 minute at each station of:

  • Power Snatch (boys: 75#/girls: 55#)

  • Box Jump 20″
