When you hear the word diet, it is most often associated with weight loss. It is easy to focus on the scale and get frustrated when the numbers seem very uncooperative! Many of the participants entered the Paleo Challenge with the very intention of losing a few pounds.

If we look at the Webster’s definition, diet is infact a lifestyle not a fad, and it’s about nourishing the body. Obviously the better the fuel choices, the better the body output. As we approach the end of the challenge it’s important to look beyond the scale. Anyone who has stuck with it will have noticed so many other benefits beyond weight.
Feeling good, avoiding the ever circulating colds and flu’s at work, increased energy, faster metcon times, stronger lifts…all outcomes of fueling with paleo foods. As the challenge comes to an end, it’s important to not lose sight of your gains. These are the motivators that will help you stick with these healthy choices you have adopted. Paleo truly is a way of life…a life full of health, wellness and killer WOD times!
